PPP will solve most of Kampala’s problems

PPP will solve most of Kampala’s problems

Experience from thriving cities in the West indicates that PPP in city development can never be ignored. Cities lack the budget to fix all the vital components and infrastructure, but if they have the will, they can leverage the good will of the private sector by enlisting them for support and knowledge. The private sector is always ready to give a helping hand because they will benefit from the very actions anyway. We therefore urge KCCA to start on constructive engagement with the large multinational companies such as MTN Uganda, Airtel, Standard Chartered Bank, ABSA etc., with a view of bringing them on board to work together towards creating a livable and better city of Kampala. The solutions to our problems as a city are within us. Let’s embrace working together as a city to solve our challenges
