Kampala needs to seriously consider establishing public Parks

Recreational areas and public parks in a city are a reflection of life in that city. They provide identity for citizens and are a reflection of the quality of life in a given area. They are often cited as one of the most important factors on how liveable the city is. In other words, you can tell the quality of life of a city by how many public spaces the city has.

Public Parks show the beauty of the city. they bring out the splendor and sophistication of the area. They show how the city is organized. They indicate that some people are really in charge and care. Public Parks show that the city is not only concerned with collecting money from citizens but that they care about good living of the people. When a city preserves its parks, it shows that the managers know what they are doing and they mean well for the population both today and tomorrow.

On top of making the city look beautiful, public green parks are a good way of conserving the environment. Not every place in the city should be built up. The larger the areas in the city that are left green, the better air quality the city will enjoy. Public parks are good areas of relaxation where people meet and socialize. They are stress relieving places which every city should have.
